TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER:- NEWBOLD LANE, ‘NEWBOLD LANE TO DISTRICT BOUNDARY’, NEWBOLD AND SOMERBY

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to the temporary road closure of the above location.

The closure is required from Somerby to Newbold.

The road will be closed on 8th August 2018 for up to 10 days.
This will safely allow Leicestershire County Council to safely undertake highway maintenance works.

CHURCH METAL THEFTS...WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Over the past month we have seen an increase in rural churches being targeted whereby their lead roofs have been stripped and stolen.

Specifically, we have seen offences across the East and South Leicestershire area.

Theft of lead from Burrough Church

On Friday 30th March, between midnight and 3am, most of the lead was stolen from the lower part of the north side of Burrough Church roof.

If anyone witnessed anything suspicious, please report it directly to the Police.

Telephone Kiosk thefts

We have been alerted that there are groups of thieves in Leics and Rutland areas attempting to remove telephone kiosks. They claim to be from BT but are not!

If you see any suspicious behaviour, please report it to the police.
