Licensing Service to welcome Revd Jane Walker on 27th February 2020

The Bishop of Leicester announced on December 15th that Revd Jane Walker was to be appointed as Associate Priest (House for Duty) of the Burrough Hill Parishes and would work alongside Revd Neil Stothers, the Priest in Charge. It was later confirmed that the licensing service to welcome Revd Jane and her family to the benefice would take place on Thursday 27th February, 7.30pm at Pickwell Parish Church.... Read More »

Melton Borough Council has new powers to tackle irresponsible dog ownership

Following last year's successful public consultation, Melton Borough Council is pleased to introduce the new Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPO) to the Borough to encourage responsible dog ownership and allow the authority to be more effective in enforcing dog fouling matters.

This decision was agreed at a Cabinet meeting on 30th October 2019 and will allow the Council to:
